Children with Cancer Project

Many IWC members support the Gorro Group, which makes handmade hats (gorros) and toys that are distributed in weekly visits to the children’s cancer ward at O’Horan Hospital. We also hand out age-level activity and story books, crayons and colored pencils, Matchbox cars and huggable toys. We also purchase liquid medications for children too small to swallow pills when they’re released from the hospital and, recently, child-sized chemotherapy ports.
